The PHILIPP Power Box System is a flexible connection system designed for the force-fit connection of precast concrete elements. It is used primarily for wall connections and enables the safe transfer of shear forces both parallel and perpendicular to the joint.
The system consists of individual, galvanized box elements with an integrated flexible steel cable and a protective plastic cover. The boxes are cast into the precast components and opened after production. The cable loops are unfolded, automatically overlap during installation, and are then connected with a reinforcing bar. Filling the joint with suitable grout creates a durable, secure connection.
A major advantage of the system is its flexibility: The number of boxes used can be adjusted depending on the load requirements. This ensures optimal utilization of the load-bearing capacity. At the same time, it eliminates the need for time-consuming bending of the rebar, which significantly simplifies installation.
The Power Box System is approved by building authorities and meets high standards for load-bearing capacity and fire protection. It is suitable for a wide range of applications in precast construction and offers a practical, cost-effective solution for secure component connections.
