An overview of hydraulic components
HYDRAULIC VALVES
Hydraulic valves perform key control functions in hydraulic systems. Among other things, they regulate the direction of flow, pressure and flow rate, and ensure that hydraulic functions can be carried out precisely and safely.
Depending on the application, circuit and installation situation, PHILIPP offers a range of different valve types. These include directional control valves, pressure control valves, flow control valves and check valves, as well as split-plate valves, in-line valves and logic valves. Our experts will be happy to assist you in selecting the right solution for your hydraulic application and existing system requirements.
PUMPS AND MOTORS
The key components in hydraulic systems are the pumps and motors used. Hydraulic pumps deliver the hydraulic fluid and generate the required flow rate, whilst hydraulic motors convert hydraulic energy into mechanical motion.
Depending on the requirements, different types of pumps and motors are used. PHILIPP offers, amongst other things, gear pumps and motors, vane pumps, and axial and radial piston pumps and motors. When selecting the appropriate solution, various factors must be taken into account: pressure range, speed, operating fluid and the requirements of the specific hydraulic application.
HYDRAULIC ACCESSORIES
When it comes to accessories for hydraulic systems, getting the right fit is also crucial. The PHILIPP range includes, amongst other things, ball valves and hydraulic couplings, couplings and mountings for pumps and motors, pump brackets and damping elements, as well as pressure gauges and test ports.
Ball valves enable the precise opening and shutting off of pipes, whilst hydraulic couplings provide a quick and secure connection between pipes and components. Couplings, brackets and pump mounts facilitate the reliable integration of pumps and motors into the relevant hydraulic system. Damping elements help to reduce unwanted oscillations and vibrations during operation.
Pressure gauges are also available in a variety of designs, scales and connection types, along with suitable measuring connections, for monitoring relevant pressure values. Which solution is best suited to a particular situation depends on the design, the installation conditions and the specific requirements of the hydraulic application. Our experts will be happy to advise you on this on a case-by-case basis.
Bespoke hydraulic solutions, designed and manufactured in-house
Hydraulic control blocks
Hydraulic control blocks, when custom-designed, enable several hydraulic functions to be combined compactly within a single unit. This makes it possible to reduce pipework, make efficient use of installation space and integrate various control tasks specifically into the respective hydraulic system.
We design and manufacture bespoke solutions for you based on your specific requirements. From the initial design and CAD modelling right through to production, we work closely with you to create hydraulic control blocks that are tailored to their intended function, installation conditions and your existing system.
Hydraulic power units
Our hydraulic power units form the central supply unit for many hydraulic systems. Depending on the application, different designs and power ranges are used. Our experts design and manufacture hydraulic power units specifically to your individual specifications, for both stationary and mobile applications, whether as one-off units or in series production.
PHILIPP’s product range extends from mini and compact units through to standard units and large-scale units. Even complex requirements can be met using modern CAD technology, tailored specifically to your needs. From planning and design right through to manufacture and commissioning, this approach results in solutions that are tailored to the specific application and the existing system requirements.

Our range of services
INSTANDHALTUNG VON HYDRAULIKZYLINDERN
Hydraulic cylinders are central to the performance of your system – their regular maintenance and servicing protects against expensive breakdowns and extends their service life. The PHILIPPGRUPPE takes care of dismantling, cleaning, testing, repair and recommissioning for you – independently of the manufacturer and with a high level of expertise. Your benefits: short downtimes, precisely fitting spare parts, documented quality – with on-site service on request. You can rely on professional cylinder maintenance.
STORAGE TESTS WITH TÜV
According to BetrSichV, pressure equipment must be tested regularly – this can be done safely, efficiently and sustainably with the innovative ID-E test method. The patented procedure developed by TÜV Thüringen uses the non-destructive EMAT ultrasonic principle and is particularly suitable for hydropneumatic bladder accumulators, nitrogen cylinders and hydraulic accumulators.
Your benefits: By eliminating the need for dismantling, transport and additional media, this method reduces resource consumption and operational costs compared with conventional testing methods. ID-E therefore saves costs and can test up to 15 devices per day. Available nationwide – we’d be happy to arrange a free demonstration by our specialists!
TRAININGS
Our seminars provide practical knowledge on hydraulic systems and components. We keep you up to date – from the basics of hydraulics through to fault analysis and hose and fitting technology. Our training programme also includes certification as a qualified person for hydraulic hose assemblies and topics relating to health and safety at work.
