🏭 Strong connections for the Buchloe wood cluster. 💪
With the Athene project, Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG is building a modern wood cluster in Buchloe—one of the largest industrial projects in southern Germany. 🏗️
For the production hall, which spans approximately 34,000 m², the challenge was to safely transport, install, and permanently connect more than 80 precast columns—each weighing up to 50 metric tons—as well as large-format wall panels and fire-resistant wall panels. 🧱⚙️
The particular challenge: To ensure rapid construction progress, solutions were needed that could reliably support heavy loads while also enabling practical installation procedures. This was especially true for the structurally load-bearing connections between columns and wall panels, as well as for the installation of fire wall assemblies. ⚙️
PHILIPP transport anchor systems were used to secure and erect the large-format precast concrete elements, along with many kilometers of Power Duo cable-loop rails to ensure a quick and reliable connection between the components. 🔩
The engineering office Mühlberg + Mair from Buchloe performed the structural calculations for this challenging construction project. The construction company Glass GmbH from Mindelheim handled the technical aspects of the precast concrete structure and the delivery of the concrete elements. 🤝
