Mounting the two concrete hands on Europe’s tallest statue of the Virgin Mary was far more than a routine lifting operation. The real challenge lay not in the weight of the components, but in maintaining their exact position throughout the entire lifting process. Only in this way could the connecting pins be inserted precisely into the designated openings in the statue. 📏

Working together with our technical product engineers, we developed a custom lifting solution for this project. Specially developed software facilitated the precise calculation of the optimal anchor positions, while perfectly coordinated components from our rope and lifting technology portfolio enabled safe alignment with millimeter precision. 💻 ⚙️

🔩 The equipment used included a Ganterud L12 Pro for load balancing, a spreader beam, round slings, chains in custom lengths, and LIFTY standard load-handling devices for fine-tuning. It was only through the coordinated interaction of all these components that the two concrete hands could be assembled in a controlled and precisely fitted manner. 🤝
